We are FilmOffaly. Up and running since 2008, we are one of Ireland’s oldest film commissions and the main point of contact for those wishing to film in the county. Our mission is to promote County Offaly as a premier filming destination, rolling out the red carpet to visiting productions who want to make the most of our truly distinctive locations and cinematic landscapes.

Situated in the heart of Ireland, we boast haunted castles, serene waterways, atmospheric bogs and stately homes among our key locations. We are a wonderland for genre filmmaking- this is where Wednesday Addams goes to school and where the cinematic Jane Austen spent her formative years.

We are a project of Offaly County Council and are committed to the promotion of film and providing opportunities within the screen industry for the local community. Our Short Film Award seeks out new talent every year and we pride ourselves on our experience and enthusiasm in hosting film and TV productions.
