Forms and Permits

If you want to shoot in a public space, then you will need to apply for the necessary permits. Our position as part of Offaly County Council makes it easy to guide you through the application process.

If you’re filming on private property, it’s still a good idea to contact us and let us know about your plans- There may be other issues to consider, and we’d also love to hear more about your project.

Film-Friendly Businesses

Offaly boasts some great film-friendly businesses including Irelands’ biggest prop store. We also have great hotels and welcoming facilities who are keen to accommodate you and your crew.

Tax Credits

International crews wishing to film in Ireland can benefit from our generous and competitive tax credits. The Section 481 credit is worth up to 32% of eligible Irish expenditure, and the Scéal uplift for small to medium productions can boost that to 40%.

Equipment Hire
