FilmOffaly is a project of Offaly County Council. We are here to attract screen production to the area, offering advice and support for visiting screen productions of all sizes – from student films to blockbusters.

Because of our position in the Council, we are ideally placed to help you engage with the Council’s services such as permitting, road closures and traffic measures, parking and more.

Download our application form for filming in public. Once complete, you should send it to us at filmoffaly@offalycoco.ie in advance of your planned shoot to ensure everything runs smoothly.

If you’re planning to use drones or wish to shoot B-Roll, then please refer to our B-Roll permission form below.

Our road closure form is also below – Please be aware that any requests for road closures or traffic management can be complex to process, so make sure that you notify us of your traffic intentions at least 2 working weeks before the planned shoot.
