That’s a wrap on entries for the FilmOffaly Short Film Award 2026! We received a great bunch of scripts this year, and our reading judges has their work cut out shortlisting the six scripts who will go through to the next stage.

There will be one award to the successful applicant who will receive €12,000 towards the cost of their production and a local premiere for their completed film. The shortlisted entrants are currently putting together their production packs before the final judging stage. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we have a winner!

If you’ve missed out, then never fear – the award has been running every year sine 2008, so there’s always next years award to look forward to.
